Watching my tivo’d episodes of Young Justice and Korra with my dad is both hilarious and annoying. My dad calling Impulse “Baby Flash” and Jay Garrick “Old Man Flash” cracked me up (specially because he used to read the Flash comic books when he was a kid) but having to explain the Avatar life cycle (for the hundredth time) and that “Yes, technically Korra is Aang, (from a past life) but not,” and “Yes, Korra will be able to bend air but she isn’t required to have an arrow on her head to do it.”

In response to today’s episode and the Inappropriate Timing Spongebob stuff that’s been circulating around tumblr (and cracks me up).

I had a really good first day at Kohl’s, a little tedious at times but I’m really excited to get started. I just want to skip orientation haha. I’m all moved into my new place and I just got internet (finally) for the first time today when I got home from work, so I’m in the process of checking, like, over 1,000 messages.

I can’t even begin to explain how many times I got stuck sitting with ‘non-artist’ women where I was forced to talk about Guchi bags and heels. I tried to segway when we were talking about “how we treat ourselves” and I was like “Oh! When I have money to spend I buy books 8D” and they giggled and called me “Cute.” Needless to say the girls in my department comforted me and made me feel welcome after listening to all the crappy small talk I had to put up with <3

Regardless, I still have a few more commissions I haven’t had time to finish yet due to work and orientation, and I am itching to draw some Korra so hopefully sometime this week I can sneak in some sketches. In the mean time, I’m going to try wrapping up these messages and pass out. I woke up at 5:30 today. Not fun.

I’m juggling a few commissions that I need to finish asap, and I’m also in the middle of packing up at my apartment, as well as moving out this weekend, so I’m pretty busy.

Holy crap! This is crazy! My friend Marisa’s art is going around Tumblr (and on one of my favorite artist’s tumblrs to boot!) This was part of her senior thesis last year! Wow this was a wake up call today! MIAD REPRESENT!

I was going to spend the day doing things that needed to be done before I go back to Milwaukee tomorrow, but instead I had this itching to sketch and that sketch turned into this: more Down The Rabbit Hole fan art. I’ve been rereading the chapters and I had a huge urge to draw little Jinx (approx. chapter 3), and then I ended up drawing her 7 years later (approx. chapter 69). I suppose it’s a Now and Then picture.

I’ve always loved Jinx’s little ducklings:  Eeny, Meeny, Miny, and Moe, and her German Shepherd, Lucky.

I promise the next fan art I post will be Korra.

How do I even explain this madness? Listening to musicals makes me inspired apparently. This is vaguely predictions/my own head-canon for Down The Rabbit Hole. I figured within the near future Jinx is going to have to make a decision with her possible future (and powers). This is just some random idea I came up with when I was listening to this song the other day.

First is with Robin and Cyborg, coming up with a trap. I had first thought the trap would be for See-More or Kid, but I decided it fit more for Slade for this comic, since Robin’s all pumped about it. Originally I had Kid on the other side of Robin, so that he’s apart of catching Slade for Jinx’s sake, but then I left him out since Robin probably wouldn’t have trusted him. The other is a comic, and I decided to make Raven be the one who comfort Jinx, since she’s been there before (namely season 4). Idk, random sketches.

Doodles of the day; more of College Titans; Jinx is a runner, as is Wally and it was only a matter of time when they ran at the same time. Jinx, Argent, and Raven are of course roommates.

At my house, you go to bed knowing what you’re going to do tomorrow then you wake up and my dad tells you what you’re actually doing, which is always completely different than your original itinerary. Still love him though. I’m currently home till Monday then it’s back to Milwaukee to pack up and a few days after that I start working at Kohls :D
